About Meagan Black

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been captivated by the beauty of motherhood and the miracle of birth. My mother was a midwife assistant at a birthing center, and whenever she was called in, I went with her. With no childcare available, I found myself curled up in the quiet corners of the center, listening to the sounds of birth—soft whispers of encouragement, the deep strength of labor, and the first cries of new life. I remember the way the air buzzed with anticipation, the way caretakers moved with reverence, and the raw, beautiful energy that surrounded each birth. Even then, I knew I wanted to be part of this world.

I believe that every expecting parent deserves unwavering support, compassionate guidance, and a sense of empowerment as they navigate the sacred transition into parenthood. Birth is not just about bringing a baby into the world—it’s about nurturing the transformation of a family, holding space for all the emotions that come with it, and honoring the unique journey of each parent.

As a birth and postpartum doula, I am here to offer that grounding presence. My approach is rooted in deep listening, intuitive care, and the belief that the body holds incredible wisdom. I honor both the science and the soul of birth, blending evidence-based knowledge with holistic practices to provide comprehensive support. Whether it’s through hands-on comfort measures, emotional reassurance, or simply being a steady presence in the room, my goal is to create a space where families feel safe, confident, and deeply supported.

No one should walk this path alone. Parenthood is a journey that thrives in community, in shared wisdom, and in the gentle reassurance that you are not alone. It takes a village—not just to raise a child, but to nurture new parents as well. I would be honored to be part of your journey.
